Erich Osteen
Crespi High School

The wrestler became the third freshman in Crespi history to win a varsity tournament, winning the Arroyo Invitational Championship on Saturday at 182 pounds.

Eyassu Worku
Los Alamitos High School

The senior guard and UC Irvine commit became the program’s all-time leading scorer (1,442 points) last week with 31 points in a 61-51 win over Edison to open League play.

Brian Dawson
Vistamar High School

Dawson became only the second player in school history to join the 1,000-point club this past week. The junior reached the career-point mark in a 55-53 win over L.A. Adventist when he scored 26 points and then added 21 points and eight assists in his team’s 55-35 win over California Academy of Math and Science

Grant Kirchoff
Gabrielino High School

Kirchoff got his campaign to repeat as Mission Valley League MVP off to a fine start last week. The senior scored 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a win over Marshall, then he had 16 of his 18 points in the second half in a key win over host Arroyo

Kim Aiken
Redlands East Valley High School

Against highly-ranked Miller, Aiken had 15 points and 13 rebounds, including a huge tip-in bucket off a missed REV free throw with 11.4 seconds to seal the three-point win.

Merrill Ortiz
Etiwanda High School

The senior wrestler won the 138-pound weight class and was named Lower Weight Most Valuable Wrestler at the San Bernardino County Championships over the weekend at Grand Terrace.

Josh Loomer
Cajon High School

Loomer crushed the competition in the 182-pound weight class at the Nogales Super Champs Tournament on Saturday. He won all four of his matches by pin, two in the first period, one in the second and only one opponent made it to the third period.

Zamir Kelly
Ocean View High School

Kelly averaged 20 points, five rebounds and 3.5 assist in victories over Costa Mesa and Segerstrom
