SAN BERNARDINO – Cajon football coach Nick Rogers doesn’t give up easily. When he ran across a rather large freshman in the hall at school a few years back, the young man told him he was a basketball player, not a football player. Rogers never gave up.

It might have taken almost a year but Rogers eventually got that kid on a football field. Now he isn’t just one of the best players on his team or in the Inland Empire, he’s one of the top college football prospects in the country.

Senior defensive end Jeremiah Martin now stands 6-foot-6 and checks in at 245 pounds, and he has 16 offers from Division I colleges with more sure to come.
