Chatsworth baseball tops San Fernando, sets up all-West Valley City semifinal

CHATSWORTH – Last week, Harvard-Westlake lost to Valencia in the first round of the CIF Southern Section baseball playoffs after an eight-day layoff. The Wolverines were the No. 1-ranked team in Division 1. Valencia was a wild-card team.

Thursday, four West Valley League baseball teams were in action after almost two weeks of playing no games due to a bye through the playoffs’ first round.

“A quick 1-2-3 inning was very important to start the game,” Chatsworth pitcher Gabe Achucarro said.
