CHINO HILLS >> Basketball standout Onyeka Okongwu has been turning heads since the day he started his first game as a freshman at Chino Hills High School three years ago. His 6-foot-9 stature had a lot to do with that but his play didn’t disappoint and he earned many rookie accolades.

He drew his first Division I college scholarship offers as a freshman.

Still, he was overshadowed by the presence of the much-publicized Ball brothers.
