Claremont’s trick play voted SoCal Prep Legends football play of the week (Oct. 16)


With more than 16,000 votes cast, Claremont’s trick play in the final minute ending with Benjamin Lynch’s TD pass to Raine Pohaku Kaheaku-Paiva for a 33-29 victory over Bonita received a whopping 8,023 votes to earn the SoCal Prep Legends football play of the week. Claremont’s improbable touchdown barely finished ahead of Oaks Christian running back Gil Scott Jackson’s 92-yard TD in a 48-7 win over Thousand Oaks, which finished with 8,013 votes, leaving Jackson and Oaks Christian only 10 votes short of Claremont when the polls closed, Friday.
