Winning Numbers: Ibarra came up big for the Conquistadores in last week’s battle for first in the Mt. Baldy against Chaffey. He missed a complete-game shutout by just one out, coming out after 6 2/3 innings because of the pitch count in a 3-0 win. He gave up five hits and struck out eight. He also helped himself at the plate with a run-scoring single for the game’s first run. He is 4-2 with a 0.88 ERA and 53 strikeouts in 48 innings, Ibarra, who plays left field when not on the mound, has signed with Concordia-Irvine.
