In his spare time, Downey High junior quarterback Kijjon Foots plays a lot of the Madden football video game.
“All I do is the gun (formation) offense,” Foots said. “I am just a passing quarterback. I’m not going to run on you, and I am going to just keep hitting you with deep balls.”
From the console to the gridiron, Foots has put up video game-like numbers for Downey this year. The junior has thrown for 2,922 yards and 29 touchdowns with just three interceptions, and also has rushed for 1,053 yards and 14 touchdowns on 127 carries.
