Five standout Orange County players drafted MLB Draft Day 1

The Southern California prep baseball talent continues to be certified by the MLB Draft, especially in 2017, and especially in Orange County.

JSerra’s Royce Lewis was drafted by the Minnesota Twins No. 1 overall. Huntington Beach had two players from its roster drafted: Nick Pratto went No. 14 to the Kansas City Royals and pitcher Hagen Danner went in the second round at No. 61 to the Toronto Blue Jays.

In addition, Dana Hills pitcher Hans Crouse went No. 66 to the Texas Rangers and Mater Dei catcher Blake Hunt went 69th to the San Diego Padres.
