Frost, Herron, Serra girls have big day at CIF Masters Meet

TORRANCE — The Serra High girls track and field team had another banner day at the CIF Southern Section Masters Meet at El Camino College.

Serra had junior Jazmyne Frost and senior Jaylah Herron qualify individually for next weekend’s CIF State meet, Frost in the 100 and 200 meters and Herron in the 400.

Serra’s 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams, which Frost and Herron were both a part of, also qualified for the state meet. The 4×100 relay team took first place with a time of 45.88 seconds. The 4×400 relay team finished fourth overall in a time of 3:48.55 to also qualify for the state meet in Fresno.
