Hart’s A.J. Stanley voted SoCal Prep Legends Boys Athlete of the Week (Oct. 30)


boyMost players would be extremely happy with five interceptions in a season, but Hart’s A.J. Stanley accomplished the feat all in one game, and voters rewarded him for it by selecting the the junior as the SoCal Prep Legends boys athlete of the week with 1,831 votes, which was 70 percent of the overall voting. Stanley’s performance for the ages set a school record for interceptions in a game, and it came in a thrilling 24-21 double-overtime Foothill League victory over Golden Valley, including the clinching interception in the second overtime period. Stanley has nine interceptions this season. Chino Hills’ Grant Trueman was second with 451 votes.
