Kaiser football’s Tyler Allgeier chasing school rushing records

FONTANA  — Senior running back Tyler Allgeier is a man of few words.  But then again, he doesn’t have to say much. His legs and the numbers he has put up have spoken volumes.

Allgeier has rushed for 1,204 yards and 17 touchdowns on just 108 carries, which has the Cats (4-2, 1-0) in the thick of the Sunkist League football race.

They are coming off a 19-17 win over defending champion Summit and can stay on top of the league with a win over Bloomington (3-3, 0-1) on Friday.

But ask Allgeier about numbers that have put him in striking distance of the school’s career rushing record, and he’ll quickly turn the subject to the success of his team, which was looking to rebound from an un-Kaiser like 3-7-1 record of a year ago…
