Kalyah Williams, Destynie Viliamu hoping to lead CIF volleyball title runs

Two NCAA-bound seniors, league champions, Dream Team Player of the Year contenders and team captains are hoping to lead their volleyball teams to a CIF Southern Section Division 1 championship in the next few weeks.

Long Beach Poly’s Kalyah Williams and Lakewood’s Destynie Viliamu are the top players on the top teams in the area, and the upcoming CIF-SS playoffs will determine their legacy.

“I feel like our team is going to be hungrier than ever,” said Williams, an outside hitter for the Jackrabbits (27-5, 11-1)..
