Kinzie Hansen delivers walk-off winner as Norco softball team outlasts Huntington Beach

NORCO — Norco softball coach Rick Robinson briefly considered having Mikayla Allee bunt the winning run into scoring position during the bottom of the ninth inning.

That thought quickly vanished, however, as Robinson figured Huntington Beach coach Jeff Forsberg would walk Kinzie Hansen intentionally for the third time in the game.

Allee ended up getting hit by a pitch, limiting Forsberg’s options. Hansen jumped on the first pitch she saw and ripped an opposite-field double to score Toni Camarillo and give top-seeded Norco a 6-5 win in a wild CIF-SS Division 1 quarterfinal game Thursday.
