LA HABRA – Alexis Hernandez and Savannah Tourville each delivered a three-run double to lead La Habra’s softball team to an 8-1 victory over first-place Sunny Hills in a Freeway League game Thursday at La Habra High.

The contest opened the second half of the league schedule for both teams, and the victory was an important one for the Highlanders (14-4, 4-2) as it kept the No. 7 Lancers (17-4, 5-1) from extending their lead in the league standings.

La Habra is in a tie for second with Sonora, which defeated Troy 9-0 on Thursday.
