Murrieta Mesa girls volleyball team continues best start in program history

The Murrieta Mesa girls volleyball team knows how difficult it is being the new kid on the block.

From its inception, the program was placed into the Southwestern League, one of the region’s best leagues for girls volleyball. The Rams struggled mightily during their first six seasons, going a combined 2-58 in league play and failing to post an overall winning record.

So, last year’s team faced two paths: continue being the league’s perennial cellar dweller or work on closing the gap.
