Corey-Burton-2

In a poll that brought in more than 20,000 votes in five days, Oak Hills’ Corey Burton accumulated more than half the votes to be named 2017 SoCal Prep Legends Girls Wrestler of the Year.

The junior won CIF Southern Section and State titles this season in the 189-pound weight class.

“I really want to wrestle in college,” Burton said. “If I can, I want to go to the Olympics. … I might even want to start coaching, just because it’s so great. I couldn’t imagine not having any sort of wrestling in my life.”
