Redondo plays inspired, beats Pleasant Valley to win Division II state championship

The Redondo girls basketball teams once more donned T-shirts emblazoned with #RYSEUP during its pregame warm-up. The Seahawks slipped them back on immediately after the final seconds of the CIF State Division II championship.

Redondo used swarming defense to grab a sizable lead in the first half, and the Seahawks had some quick answers on offense during the second half to preserve a 57-42 victory over Pleasant Valley of Chico at Golden 1 Center.
