SoCal Prep Legends is putting our prep experts to the test!

Each week select prep staff of the Southern California News Group will attempt to predict the outcome of SoCal’s best high school football games, which span across the Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.

You may notice that one “expert” isn’t a staff reporter, but a recognizable face and voice in the SoCal sports community, FOX Sports’ Petros Papadakis. The former Trojan football player and current co-host of AM 570’s Petros & Money Show will be SCPL’s guest picker for the 2017 season. Be sure to tune into AM 570 from 2-6 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays to hear Petros make his selections, and speak  about SCPL’s best football games.

Remember to follow @SoCalPrepLegend on Twitter, and hashtag either #SCPL or #PrepLegends to share YOUR picks with us!

Pick Record: 5-2

-Bishop Gorman at Mater Dei: Mater Dei
Have to pull for the home team, right?
-Rancho Cucamonga at Norco: Rancho
Covered last year’s game. Yes, no more Jaylen Redd for Rancho, but still the better team.
-LB Poly at Narbonne: LB Poly
QB Matchup is awesome in this one. Big fan of Jalen Chatman, but I think Matt Corral has the bigger night.
-Vista Murrieta at Mission Viejo: Mission Viejo
Going to score a lot of points – VM wont be able to keep up.
-Alemany at JSerra: JSerra
Pains me to pick against a San Fernando Valley team, but I think JSerra gets this one.
-Glendora at Damien: Glendora
Going against the grain – either team can win this one.
-Oaks Christian at Edison: Edison
Oaks Christian burned me last week against Chaminade – they can do the same this week by beating a good Edison team. We’ll see.
