Quick Scouting Report for Sierra Canyon:

F – Marvin Bagley III ’18, Undecided
Bagley can do everything, and makes it look easy. Rated the No. 1 high school basketball recruit in the nation by many scouting services, regardless of class. His skill set which combines length, touch and athleticism is unmatched. Bagley would help some NBA rosters right now.

F – Cody Riley 18′, UCLA
Riley is a 6-foot-8 forward that weights 240 pounds. When he ducks into the post he’s almost impossible to stop at the high school level. He is also capable of attacking off the dribble, which leads to matchup problems for the opposition.

G – Remy Martin ’17, Arizona State
Martin may be the quickest guard end line to end line with the ball in SoCal. Savvy decisions, a love for uptempo basketball and a streaky jump shot from downtown makes Martin lethal for slow rotating defenses.

G – Adam Seiko ’17, San Diego State
Seiko is a dead-eye shooter and lock down defender. In transition, or if a team decides to double-team Bagley or Riley, Seiko will make you pay.

GAME PREVIEW vs. Bishop Montgomery

Earlier this month at the Nike Extravaganza at Mater Dei High School, Sierra Canyon coach Ty Nichols mused over what lied ahead in the CIF Southern Section Open Division playoffs.

“No tournament organizer in the country could come up with a better potential Final 4 than us, Chino Hills, Bishop Montgomery or Mater Dei,” Nichols said then.

On Friday, all four will meet in the semifinals in a rematch of last year’s Open semifinals. Sierra Canyon will face Bishop Montgomery at 7 p.m. at Galen Center, followed by Chino Hills-Mater Dei at 8:30 with the winners heading to the Honda Center for the final on March 4.

The game will be streamed online at Fox Sports Prep Zone…READ MORE
