With the prep season winding down, SoCal Prep Legends decided to consider this past week HIGHLIGHT WEEK.
Posting a poll for just Play of the Week, Sierra Canyon’s Caitlyn Rivera clutch pitching display earned her performance to be named the SoCal Prep Legends Play of the Week after reeling in 1,425 votes.

Play of the Week:

Sierra Canyon’s Caitlyn Rivera did her best Mariano Rivera impression, coming out of the pen to strike out the side in a 1-2-3 seventh inning in a 3-2 victory over St Anthony to advance to the program’s first CIF softball semifinal.

El Camino Real center fielder Daniel Moreno channeled his inner Yasiel Puig, throwing a laser to the plate to cut down Chatsworth’s Daniel Zakosek in the bottom of the sixth inning to preserve a 2-1 lead that eventually set up back-to-back L.A. City Section Division 1 crowns for ECR.
