Taylor Dockins

Taylor Dockins’ arm is outstanding, her story is remarkable, but her heart is unmatched.

Diagnosed with fibrolamellar liver cancer, a rare and hard-to-detect liver cancer in July 2016, Dockins was determined to get back onto the softball field in time for her senior season.

After multiple trips to the hospital, surgeries and an infection in late October, Dockins always got back to the pitcher’s mound.

Dockins, a Cal State Fullerton signee, led a Norco softball (33-1) team that was a mainstay among the top teams in CIF Division 1 all season, and capped the year with an appearance in Division finals and being named the Gatorade California Softball Player of the Year.

She also set the all-time CIF-Southern Section win record when she clinched her 104th win on May 9.
