Troy Thomas is back as head coach of Servite’s football team

Troy Thomas, Servite

Troy Thomas is again the football head coach at Servite, the school announced Tuesday.

Thomas, 49, has coached Servite before. He was the Friars’ coach from 2005-12. Servite won seven league championships (one in the Serra League, six in the Trinity League), two CIF-Southern Section championships and a CIF State title during his eight-year tenure.

He replaces Scott Meyer, who was Servite’s coach the past three seasons. The Friars were 14-18 overall and 4-11 in the Trinity League over those three years.
