Maddie Bennett
La Mirada High School

Bennett, the reigning Whittier Daily News Girls Soccer Player of the Year, scored two goals, including the game-clincher on a breakaway, to lead the Matadores to a 3-1 victory over La Serna in a battle of ranked teams.

Sabrina Garabet
St. Lucy’s Priory

The water polo standout was the leader for the Regents, who went 5-1 last week thanks to her whopping total of 36 goals in six games.

Kerston Corns
Yucaipa High School

Water polo scorer played in seven games, two in the Citrus Belt League and five in the Five Counties Tournament. For the week, she had 35 goals and 15 assists, scoring at least four goals in every game.

Hannah Eliot
Harvard-Westlake

The Brown-bound Eliot scored six goals in Harvard-Westlake’s 9-8 win over Notre Dame to continue its Mission League winning streak to 87 games.

Kaitlin Fregulia
West Torrance High School

Fregulia came up clutch for West this past week as the senior captain netted game-winners in both of her team’s matches.

Jasmine Jones
Long Beach Poly

The transfer led Poly to a 76-16 win over Lakewood and a 78-12 win over Wilson. Jones led Poly with 17 points against the Lancers, and then 11 points, 11 rebounds and nine steals against Wilson.

Natalie Ruhl
Redlands East Valley

Ruhl made history on Friday, capping a great week of play by becoming the all-time leading scorer for Redlands East Valley. She broke the old mark of 1,493 with a pair of first-quarter free throws and now sits atop the scoring list with 1,516 points.
