Laine James
Sonora High School

The sophomore had 23 points as the Raiders scored a 45-23 win over rival La Habra in a battle of two of the five teams in the area on Wednesday. She followed it up with 12 points in a 60-17 win over Sunny Hills on Friday.

Valerie Higgins

Higgins had 33 points, 12 rebounds and seven steals in a 51-48 victory over Harvard-Westlake and posted 24 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, six steals and three blocks in a 66-53 win over Alemany.

Jasmine Jones
Long Beach Poly

Jones had a monster week, finishing with 21 points and 20 rebounds against Millikan and then dropped 20 points with 15 rebounds against Cabrillo

Paige Endo
El Segundo

Endo had 26 points and eight assists to hand Culver City its first Ocean League loss in four years. She also scored 24 points against Beverly Hills in El Segundo’s league opener.

McKenna Hutchinson

The sophomore wrestler competed in the Sierra Vista Tournament on Saturday and pinned Mikayla Miles of Ojai Nordhoff to win the 137-pound weight class. Miles entered the tournament as the No. 1-ranked wrestler in the CIF-Southern Section.

Karen Jacobs
Redlands High School

Jacobs scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Citrus Valley by scoring in the first 30 seconds of the second half. Jacobs scored again in the Terriers’ 3-1 win over Cajon, helping push Redlands’ winning streak to five.
