He also had two wins by fall on his way to the championship. Flores won a state championship last season at 132 pounds and will be looking for another title this weekend at 138.

Alec Hooper
Redlands East Valley

Hooper helped lift No. 3 REV to the CIF-SS Division 3 semifinals with his 99th-minute golden goal against Quartz Hill. REV managed a last-second corner kick, Jonathan Garcia putting the ball over the defense to an open Hooper who headed the ball the home for the win.

LiAngelo Ball
Chino Hills

The 6-foot-6 standout had a huge week for the nation’s No. 1 ranked basketball team. Ball, a UCLA signee, tallied a game-high 40 points for the Huskies (30-0) in an Open Division quarterfinal win at Inglewood on Tuesday, then followed that up with 34 points on Friday in a 102-54 shellacking of perennial title contender Santa Ana Mater Dei.

Keith Fisher

Fisher led Westchester to a berth in the L.A. City Section Open Division final with 23 points and 14 rebounds in a semifinal win over Dorsey last week. The San Jose State-bound senior sparked a 10-0 run for the Comets late in the third quarter with a 10-foot jumper as Westchester pulled away to defeat the Dons.

Danny Salas

Salas captured a CIF Southern Section Masters championship at 195 pounds with a second period pin of Santa Ana’s Joey Daniel on Saturday afternoon at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario. The junior totaled five wins (four falls, one default) over the two-day event en route to receiving Upper Weight tournament MVP honors.
