Lonzo Ball
Chino Hills

It was just another week at the office for the 6-foot-6 senior point guard, who led the nation’s top-ranked team to wins over the No. 6 and 7 teams in the country, both by wide margins. In two games he tallied 45 points, 24 rebounds, 18 assists, 6 blocks and 10 steals. Most notable was his showing in the CIF-SS Open Division championship against Sierra Canyon at Honda Center, as he had up 20 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists in a 105-83 victory. It marked his 15th triple-double of the season.

Riley Battin
Oak Park

Battin recorded 30 points and seven rebounds as Oak Park captured the CIF Southern Section 3AA title with a 68-49 victory over Bonita at Honda Center for the program’s second CIF championship.

Evan Wick
San Marino

Evan Wick capped a dominant season by winning a state championship this past weekend at Bakersfield. The 152-pounder had three wins by technical fall and two wins by fall, including a pin of his finals opponent 39 seconds into that match. Evan Wick finished the season at 33-1.

Jarod Nelson
Redlands East Valley

The midfielder ended his career by helping the Wildcats win the program’s first CIF title in a 5-4 penalty-kick win over No. 1 Cathedral in the CIF-SS Division 3 championship game, scoring a goal and the clinching penalty kick.

Justin Pichedwatana
Mayfair

Pichedwatana became the area’s top finisher Saturday afternoon by claiming fourth place at 160 pounds during the CIF State Wrestling Championships at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield.After a setback in the semifinals, he responded with a win during his bubble match to earn a spot in the third-place bout. Pichedwatana plans to enter next month’s National Tournament in Virginia.

Ray Knight Jr.
Serra

Knight led Serra to a yet another comeback victory last week, helping Serra to a CIF Southern Section Division 4AA title victory over Sherman Oaks Notre Dame. He scored 18 points and pulled down six rebounds.
