Thibodeaux, one of the nation’s top-rated recruits, put on a stellar defensive effort to help Oaks Christian win the CIF Southern Section Division 2 title. He had four sacks and four quarterback hurries as a part of the Lions recording 12 sacks in the 20-19 win over Valencia.
Octave, a junior, led the Stars to the title in the Milken Tournament. Octave scored 37 points on 15 of 24 shooting from the field in the finals, a 93-71 win over Milken and earned MVP honors. Octave averaged 31 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals in the tournament. He scored at least 30 points in three games.

Shelton was named the most valuable player of the Sierra Vista/Covina boys basketball tournament after scoring 25 points with 12 rebounds, nine assists and three steals in a 102-71 victory over Colony in the championship on Saturday. It was an impressive week for Shelton, who also dropped 31 points with 12 rebounds and three steals in a 76-55 semifinal victory over Bishop Amat as the Spartans improved to 5-0.
White completed 23 of 40 passes for a career-high 501 yards in helping the Mustangs to a 44-42 win over La Canada St. Francis in the CIF Southern Section Division 3 championship. White completed touchdown passes of 94 yards (Manny Allen), 58 yards (Jasiah Richard-Lewis), 35 yards (Kamryn Woodson) and 64 yards (Woodson) to lead the program to its first section title since 2011.
He passed for 342 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns as the Knights defeated Covina 55-49 in the CIF-SS Division 11 championship game. The 5-foot-11, 215-pound senior has passed for 2,910 yards and 17 touchdowns this season. Katella plays Monte Vista of Spring Valley on Saturday in a CIF Regionals Division 5A game at Glover Stadium.
The 6-foot-3, 175-pound quarterback directed the Cowboys to a 54-28 win over Downey in the CIF Southern Section Division 4 championship game. Daniels did it with both his arms and his legs, throwing for 293 yards on 18-of-28 passing with four touchdowns. He also ran for 281 yards and four touchdowns on 21 tries. On the season Daniels has thrown for 4,641 yards and 59 touchdowns with only three interceptions and run for another 1,080 yards and 13 touchdowns.
