Rolling Hills Prep
Wilson went 7 for 10 with five RBIs last week. He is hitting .677 this season. Wilson also pitched a complete game against Harbor Teacher Prep, allowing one run on three hits and struck out eight.
Hampton blazed to victory in the 200 meters at the Nike Chandler Rotary Elite in Arizona, turning in a state-leading time of 21.26 seconds. He claimed the 100 title with a time of 10.54 seconds, .01 seconds off his state-leading time this season.
Okonkwo won the 400 meters at the Nike Chandler Rotary Elite event in Arizona with a state-leading time of 47.77 seconds. He also finished fifth in the 200 meters in a personal-best time of 21.52.
Corona del Mar
Schwartz was 8 for 14 with three home runs, including a grand slam, and 10 RBIs over three games last week. A left-handed hitting senior shortstop who signed with UCLA, Schwartz also had a double and a triple among those eight hits.
Despite the Crusaders losing 2-0 to Village Christian on March 20, the UC Irvine-bound Garcia was fantastic as he threw six innings while allowing two runs and striking out 11.
Santa Clarita Christian
Starr nearly posted a triple-double in the CIF State Division V final on Saturday with 21 points, seven rebounds and a Division V State championship record 10 assists. The 6-foot-7 point guard led Santa Clarita Christian to its first State title in school history with a 78-66 victory over Argonaut of Jackson.
