David Hays
St. John Bosco
Hays had quite the game in the Braves’ 10-2 win over Mountain Pointe of Phoenix, Ariz. He was 2 for 3 at the plate with a home run and three RBIs and he pitched five innings, allowed two earned runs and struck out 11.

Noah Levin
Sierra Canyon
Levin had quite the week in San Diego. He was 9-of-15 from the plate with 10 RBIs, two home runs, nine scored runs and five stolen bases. His outstanding play earned him San Diego Lions Tournament MVP honors after the Trailblazers went 5-0 and won the tournament 9-2 over Mater Dei Catholic (San Diego).

Sam Gomez
Los Altos
The Conquerors’ senior threw a beauty in a 12-0 win over Diamond Ranch, tossing a perfect game and striking out 12 of the 21 batters he faced to improve to 5-0 on the season. He only needed 72 pitches and lowered his impressive ERA to 1.00.

Kyle Hobus
Palos Verdes
The Palos Verdes Sea Kings swept Bay League foe Mira Costa last week behind the performance of Hobus. The senior outside hitter had 25 kills, two aces, digs and two blocks with a hitting percentage of .354 in the 25-17, 25-18, 30-28 win. Hobus, who is committed to Cal State Northridge, had 12 kills in the deciding third set.

Taylor Ouellette
Centennial
Ouellette fired a one-hitter and struck out four to lead the Huskies to a 3-0 victory over King in a Big VIII League game. King was averaging 6.7 runs and 7.8 hits per game entering the game.

Justin Schubert
Redlands
Schubert got the job done at the plate and on the mound, helping the Terriers to a 7-2 victory over Cajon in a County Clash game at San Manuel Stadium. Schubert allowed one earned run and struck out seven in six innings to earn the win. He also went 2 for 4 with a triple and three RBIs.

Chad Born
Orange Lutheran
Born was 6 for 11 with two doubles, five runs scored and two stolen bases in the prestigious National High School Invitational at Cary, N.C., which the Lancers won for the second year in a row.
