VOTE: SoCal Prep Legends Girls Athlete of the Week

Peyton Sper

The Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo recruit powered Westlake to the Citrus Valley Touranment title, topping Sylmar, Corona and Aquinas before taking down host Citrus Valley in a 20-25, 25-21, 20-18 victory in the final.

Hannah Tostado
St. Paul

Tosado helped the Swordsmen improve to 6-0 by helping her team win the Gladstone tournament with a sweep over Bishop Amat in the championship match on Saturday. Tostado led her team with 52 kills for the week along with 22 total blocks.

Destynie Viliamu

Destynie Viliamu helped lead the area’s best volleyball team to a sweep of Harvard-Westlake last week, 25-18, 25-9, 25-18. Viliamu showcased her versatility in the match with 20 kills, four aces and three blocks. Viliamu is an all-around player who is also an emotional fireplug for the Lancers.

Breanna Belton

Belton was instrumental in the Rams’ four-set victory over Arroyo Valley last Tuesday. The outside hitter was a dual threat, racking up 16 kills and 24 digs in the win.

Claire Kovensky
Citrus Valley

Kovensky made the all-tournament team in Citrus Valley’s own tournament last weekend, where the Blackhawks were runner-up. In four best-of-3 matches during the weekend, Kovensky compiled 43 kills, 13 aces, 57 digs and had a hitting percentage of .383.

Sydney Hall
Bishop Montgomery

Sydney Hall had 11 kills, six digs and a block to lead Bishop Montgomery in a 20-25, 25-22, 22-25, 25-20, 15-10 thriller in its season opener last week, then went on to lead the Knights to a pair of 2-0 sweeps over both Ayala and Tustin in the Tustin Tournament over the weekend.
