Shelby Roloff
Roloff had 18 kills and six blocks in Taft’s 26-24, 25-23, 25-21 win over El Camino Real to begin the LA City Section Open Division girls volleyball playoffs.

Brooklyn Schirmer
Schirmer, who is ranked as the No. 12 Senior Ace in the nation by, tallied 40 kills in three matches last week, including 17 in a four-set victory over defending CIF champion Santa Margarita, to lead the Sea Hawks to semifinals.

Alex Diaz
St. Paul
The senior had a monster game in Saturday’s 25-20, 25-23, 25-22 sweep over Diamond Bar in the CIF Southern Section Division 5 quarterfinals to send the Swordsmen to Tuesday’s semifinals at home against Quartz Hill. Diaz had a match-high 18 kills as St. Paul overcame a sluggish start to earn the victory.

Leslie Diaz
Diaz ran a course record time of 17:21 at Moore League Finals on Nov. 1st to win the girl’s varsity race and help lead the Jackrabbits to their 14th consecutive league championship.

Nicole Knickerbocker
Newport Harbor
The Sunset League champion swept her singles matches 6-4, 6-0, 6-1 to improve to 58-3 in a loss against Northwood 11-7 in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs.

Erin Anderson
Anderson, a 6-foot-2 opposite hitter, registered a career-high 20 kills and also added five blocks as Santiago rallied from a set down to beat Palos Verdes in the Division 2 quarterfinals. She tallied 16 kills and five blocks in Santiago’s second-round sweep of Glendora. Anderson had one hitting error in each match and finished the week with a stellar .540 attacking percentage.

Annaka Jorgenson
Ontario Christian
The 6-foot-outside hitter helped the Knights to three  3-0 playoff victories.  She managed 18 kills, 2 aces and nine digs in a first round win over Summit and followed that up with 18 kills, 11 digs, five block assists and two aces in a second round win over Brentwood in the second round. In the quarterfinal against Templeton she rounded out the week with 18 kills,12 digs, 3 aces and 2 block assists. On the season  she boasts a team-high 393 kills, 212 digs, 57 aces and 41 blocks.

Eliana Chavira
The outside hitter helped the Falcons to three 3-0 playoff wins last week. She totaled 49 kills (on 89 attempts), 44 digs and seven aces. Most notable was her showing in an upset of No. 1 seeded Bishop Amat in which she tallied 14 kills (on 32 hitting attempts), 19 digs and a block.
