The uncommitted senior guard had 21 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and three steals to help the Titans rally for a 60-53 victory against then-No. 4 Aliso Niguel. Two days later, Ison recorded 21 and 18 rebounds in a 51-45 victory against San Clemente to help the Titans improve to 4-0 in the South Coast League.
Demattia finished with 26 goals, 12 assists, eight steals and drew 20 exclusions in seven matches last week, leading Agoura to a 5-2 record in that stretch. Demattia’s best match came against Oaks Christian Wednesday when she had six goals and had three assists in a 14-6 victory, which marked the team’s 146th straight Marmonte League victory.
McDaniel helped the Grizzles to a pair of wins in the competitive Baseline League with three goals and an assist. She came up biggest in a 4-2 win over Chino Hills on Friday with two goals, the team’s second and fourth in that game. She also had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 win over St. Lucy’s. McDaniel, who has committed to UC Irvine, has 11 goals and 11 assists on the season and has scored in every league game.
Paterson scored two goals Thursday in a 3-1 win over Murrieta Valley, lifting the Wolfpack to a 9-3-4 overall record and 3-1 in the Southwestern League. Great Oak is one game behind Temecula Valley in the league standings.
Givens, a senior guard, had a busy all-around week for the Cavaliers. She scored 20 points, with seven rebounds, two assists and four steals in a 65-63 overtime win over Bishop Montgomery, Thursday. In a 51-39 win over Narbonne, she scored 10 points and had five rebounds, three assists and four steals. She also had 14 points and five rebounds in a 64-62 loss to Etiwanda.
Wilson girls’ soccer is looking for its 12th Moore League championship of the last 16 seasons this year, and needed two wins last week over unbeaten Lakewood and Millikan to keep that dream going. The Bruins went 2-0 in the critical games to take sole possession of first place. After a 1-0 win over the Lancers, Cheyenne Tucker scored the go-ahead goal in a 2-0 win over Millikan.
Gonzalez moved to third in the CIF Southern Section goal-scoring race with 10 goals this past week to move to 32 on the season. She scored four goals with an assist in a 6-0 win over Pasadena Poly, had a goal and two assists in a 9-0 win over Chadwick and finished the week with three goals in a 5-0 win over Mayfield. Flintridge Prep is 13-4-2 and 4-0 in the Prep League.
