Destiny Cunningham
Hillcrest
Cunningham won the 150-pound title and was chosen Upper Weight MVP at the Lady Cavalier Tournament hosted by Montclair High. Cunningham won all four of her matches by pinfall, with the average pin time coming in 1 minute, 49 seconds.

Kayla Chang
Laguna Hills
The sophomore shooting guard scored 25 points in a loss against Dana Hills and had 36 points and a season-high eight steals in a victory against Capistrano Valley. Chang leads the county and CIF-SS by averaging 29.9 points per game. 

Destiny Brown
Westchester
Brown averaged 20 points, 19 rebounds and seven blocks last week in three Comets’ wins in the Western League. She had a triple-double (24 points, 16 rebounds, 12 blocks) in a 61-31 win over Palisades and 16 points, 22 rebounds, five assists, five steals and seven blocks in a 54-32 win over Hamilton.

Sydney Brightenburg
Long Beach Poly
Brightenburg, a team captain, scored the first two goals of the game and finished with a game-high seven goals as the Jackrabbits won their Moore League clash with Millikan 11-3. Poly enters the week 3-0 in league and tied for first with Wilson, which it plays in a league-finale on Feb. 8.  Brightenburg, who has not yet signed or committed to a college, has 89 goals this season.

Megan Day
La Mirada
Day, a Cal State Fullerton commit, has anchored one of the best defense’s in Southern California as the center back. She’s helped La Mirada record 10 straight shutouts and 17 on the season. La Mirada is ranked No. 7 in Division 1 and also has a tie with No. 1 JSerra, 0-0.

Corina Sagato
El Camino Real
Sagato scored a jaw-dropping goal and assisted on another in El Camino Real’s 4-1 victory over West Valley League for Granada Hills. The forward scored the dazzling goal with her right foot from 30 yards away. The Conquistadors now hold sole possession of first place in league.
