Geller came up big to help send Moorpark to its first CIF State Division II Southern California Regional title in school history. She scored the golden goal in a 2-1 semifinal victory over La Mirada, then recorded two goals and one assist in a 3-2 victory over San Marcos of San Diego for the regional crown.
The senior pitcher is 5-1 with 2.41 ERA in leading the Regents to the top spot in the Tribune softball rankings. She pitched a complete game in a 5-1 win over Bonita, and has allowed five hits or less in all but one game this season.
Just like she did in the CIF Southern Section Division 3 championship, Grouwinkel scored the golden goal Saturday for South in its 2-1 win over Claremont in the CIF State Division III Southern California Regional final.
The 5-foot-7 guard has helped the Grizzlies (25-3) to the best season in school history. Not only did they win a Southern Section title, they’re in the semifinal CIF State Division IV Southern California Regional. Last week in a 55-46 win over San Diego Lincoln, Ha tallied 22 points. Then in Saturday’s win over Viewpoint, she added 12 points and six assists. Ha is averaging 16 points.
Dockins tossed a two-hitter with five strikeouts and also hit a solo home run as the Cougars defeated La Habra, 2-0, to win the Tournament of Champions in Bullhead City, Ariz. Dockins, who was diagnosed with liver cancer last July, threw three shutouts during the tournament, bringing her career win total to 84, just one shy of the program record held by Teagan Gerhart.
The junior third baseman went 7 for 13 at the plate as the Wolverines reeled off three straight wins. Brittingham drove in 11 runs, scored six times and finished with a double and a pair of triples.
Over two games last week, Ortega went 4-for-7 with two doubles, four RBIs and two runs. She’s batting .571.
Wesley scored five goals in three SoCal Regional playoff games, including both of the Crusaders’ goals in their 2-1 victory over Grace Brethren in the CIF State Southern California Division V final. Wesley and the Crusaders ended the season on a 17-game winning streak.
