Shea O’Leary
Valencia

The Texas recruit turned in a pair of impressive performances. She threw a two-hitter with nine strikeouts and one walk in a 4-1 nonleague victory over Granada Hills, retiring 13 of the final 14 batters she faced. Then she dazzled in a marquee nonleague showdown, beating nationally ranked La Habra 2-1 by throwing a five-hitter with eight strikeouts and no walks.

Morgan Smith
St. Anthony

Smith homered for the third consecutive game in the Saints’ 20-8 victory over Bishop Montgomery last Thursday. She leads the team with a .535 batting average, seven home runs, and 23 RBIs.

Andrea Cline
San Pedro

Cline smacked a two-out, two-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to lead San Pedro past Carson in a 3-1 Marine League win on Thursday. Earlier in the week, Cline homered in an 8-3 loss to Carson.

Destinee Lopez
Bonita

In a battle against South Hills’ Florida-bound pitcher Natalie Lugo, Bonita’s Lopez delivered the goods, tossing a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts in a 2-1 victory to earn her fifth win of the season. “Today, I felt that my command of my pitches was very good,” the senior said following the game Friday. “I couldn’t be prouder of my team and how we performed.”

Loreal Fuerte
Colton

In a doubleheader sweep of Redlands East Valley, Fuerte was a catalyst. The leadoff hitter went 3 for 4 at the plate with two walks, four runs and three stolen bases as the Yellowjackets won 3-2 and 3-1.

Katelyn Thomas
Heritage

Thomas enjoyed a standout day at the Bulldog Invitational in Hemet on Saturday, sprinting to victories in both the 50 free and 100 free. Her time in the 50 was 24.25 seconds; in the 100, she won in 53.20.

Lauren Drysch
Santa Margarita

Drysch put up a season-best in the 400-meter (57.13) and helped the Eagles to wins win the 4×100 and 4×400 relays at the Aztec Invitational. The senior ran the anchor leg on the state-leading 4×400 relay team.

Autumn D’Arcy
Redlands East Valley

D’Arcy won a pair of individual events and swam a key leg in a record-breaking relay performance to help REV win the Mission Viejo Invite on Saturday.
