Jordyn Vanhook
El Camino Real
The Arizona State commit has a big bat and she showed why in El Camino Real’s four wins this week. Vanhook combined for eight hits, 11 RBIs and four home runs, as the Conquistadores prepare for Wednesday’s showdown with West Valley League foe Chatsworth. Vanhook anchored an offense that outscored its opponents 46-3 in the last four games.

Ale Samperio
Mary Star
Samperio went 2 for 3 with an RBI in a win over Bishop Montgomery and reached base three times in a win over Rolling Hills Prep. She earned wins in both games by pitching a combined 10 innings, allowing one earned run and eight hits with 18 strikeouts.

Holly Stoner
La Canada
La Canada, ranked No. 2 in CIF-Southern Section Division 5, earned a sweep over Monrovia last week to improve to 8-0 in the Rio Hondo League and 14-3-1 overall. In its 8-1 victory over Monrovia, Stoner finished with 11 strikeouts and allowed just three hits while pitching a complete game.

Samantha Pearson
Pearson blazed to three Orange County-leading times, two school records and one meet record at the Foothill Swim Games. She captured the 200-yard individual medley in a county-leading and school-record 1 minute, 59.27 seconds, placing her fourth in O.C history. She also won the 100 backstroke in a county-leading 54.00. In prelims, Pearson clocked a school and meet record 49.43 in the 100 free, which also leads the county. 

Catherine Moruzzi
Moruzzi had a big week at the plate as the Huskies swept Canyon Springs to remain undefeated in the Inland Valley League. She went 2 for 3 with a career-high five runs batted in during the first game. Moruzzi followed that up by going 4 for 5 with three runs and three RBIs.

Alyssa Graham
Grand Terrace
Graham went 4 for 4 with a double, triple and two home runs as the Titans defeated Fontana to remain unbeaten in Sunkist League play. She drove in six runs in the game, matching her career high. Graham homered earlier in the week in a victory over Colton.

Janinna Gagau
Gagau went 3 for 4 with a home run and six RBIs in the Panthers’ 14-1 win over Locke on Saturday. She is batting .591 with two home runs and 26 RBIs this season.
