Walnut’s Alexis Grant wins CIF-SS title at Division 3 swimming finals

RIVERSIDE – If your last name is Grant and you swim for Walnut High School, you’re expected to not only do well, but also win at the CIF Southern Section swimming championships.

Alexis Grant lived up to her family’s tradition, taking the 200-yard freestyle during Thursday’s Division 3 finals at Riverside City College.

Other winners were Santa Fe’s Bryan Perez, who won the 200 free; Pasadena Poly’s Susannah Laster, who won the 200 individual medley and La Serna’s Sean Ward, who won the 100 breaststroke.
